What's new
The latest features and improvements across CLIP Learn — Ink notes with the Apple Pencil, the Scratchpad workspace, role-aware task lists, the Memorise drill, and Moe assist everywhere you write.
The newest release brings Ink notes — real handwriting on your actual study material — alongside the personal workspace below. Everything here is live now.
Ink notes — handwrite on the material
- Write ON your lessons and Library documents — the material opens as pages; highlight it, scribble margins, snap perfect shapes. Official PDFs open in a full annotator.
- Voice notes with ink replay — record while you write; a pin lands on the page and replay re-draws your strokes in sync with your voice.
- Ask Moe on your ink — lasso handwriting and Moe explains it or lists exam points, grounded in course materials with citations.
- Study-day planner & Case-brief templates, a pages overview grid, and whole-notebook PDF export with annotations flattened in.
The Scratchpad & My tasks
Scratchpad
Sticky cards with colours, pins, a highlighter, legal templates, tags, checklists and a printable revision pack.
My tasks
Your list plus live suggestions from your real study state — due cards, unsubmitted work, weak topics.
Trainer tasks & scratchpad
The same workspace for staff, fed by your marking queues — with copilot on tap.
- Sticky-note Scratchpad. Notes are now cards: six colours, pin-to-top, a real
highlighter, free tags,
- [ ]checklists, and one-click legal templates (Case brief, IRAC, Statute, Definition). Filter by course or tag and print the view as a revision pack. - Capture from a lesson. Select any passage while reading and hit Capture to notes — it lands as a pre-highlighted sticky in the lesson's new Stickies side panel and on your board.
- Memorise (cover & rewrite). Read a note, cover it, rewrite it from memory — a word-level diff shows what you dropped, Ask Moe what I missed catches dropped meaning, then self-grade Got it / Shaky / Again.
- Note → flashcards. Moe drafts cards from any note; you edit, save, and they join your spaced-repetition deck as private cards no one else sees.
- Ask Moe about a selection. Select text inside any sticky for Summarise, Explain (grounded in your course material), Exam points, or Plain English ⇄ legalese — copy the result or add it to the note.
- My tasks, role-aware. Learners get suggestions from due cards, unsubmitted work, weak topics and booked sittings; trainers from their marking queues; admins from SLA signals; sponsors from team health. Accepted suggestions complete themselves when the underlying queue clears, and dated tasks nudge you the day before.
- Moe knows both. The trainer sees your notes and open tasks; the staff copilot can read your work queue and add personal reminders.
The previous release focused on automating study work and speeding up faculty marking.
For learners
Build a study aid
One click and MOEgent writes you a revision sheet or worksheet from your own course material.
Spaced-repetition flashcards
Cards now remember how well you knew them and come back exactly when you're about to forget.
Search everything
One search across your lessons, library, flashcards and notes.
Notes
Write, edit and delete your own notes — not just from inside a lesson.
- Study-aid wizard. On the Library (top of the page) or from the Build a study aid card on your dashboard, pick a topic and MOEgent generates a one-page revision sheet or a self-marking worksheet grounded only in your lessons. It saves to your Library and opens in a reader with Discuss with MOEgent and Print.
- Real spaced repetition. Reveal a flashcard, then rate your recall — Again / Hard / Good / Easy. Each card is scheduled to return at the right moment, and your progress now persists across reloads and devices. Your dashboard shows how many cards are due, and the guided Today's session slots your due cards between the lesson and the check.
- Right-click quick actions. Right-click (or long-press) a weak or strong topic on your dashboard for Drill this topic, Ask MOEgent, or Review flashcards.
- Achievements that celebrate. Earn a badge and you get a toast and a notification the first time, with new 30-day and 100-day streak milestones.
- Select-then-check. In practice, tapping an option now just selects it — press Check answer when you're ready to commit.
- Ask the CLIP team. Send a question straight to faculty from Your questions; you're notified when they reply.
For trainers

Curate what appears in every learner's Library — a link or a read-in-app page.
Learner questions
A queue of questions learners raised — answer and notify them in one place.
Written exams
Instant AI pre-marking, plus bulk pre-mark and confirm-and-release.
- Bulk essay marking. Clear the whole queue in two clicks — AI pre-mark all then a confirm-gated Confirm & release all — on top of the instant per-submission auto-marking.
- Learner materials authoring. A new Materials page lets you publish resources (external link or Markdown) straight into every learner's Library.
- Learner questions queue. Answer escalations from one Questions page; the learner is notified and sees your reply.
- "Needs you" strip. The faculty dashboard now shows live counts of essays to mark, questions waiting and drafts to review, each a one-click link.
